- Lubricate the baking dish and spatula with vegetable oil. Pour cold water into a deep baking sheet, lower the shape into it.
- In a pot with a thick bottom, mix sugar with water. Put the pan on the fire and bring the syrup to a boil.
- Add citric acid to syrup, cook the mixture, stirring, to thickened and golden color for 10–20 minutes.
- Pour hot caramel in shape, stir the mass with a spatula so that it cools evenly.
At this stage, you can add a lot of dye to the caramel to make sweets with colored.

Flour can be replaced with starch or cocoa.
- Stretch caramel in a tourniquet, and then fold. Pull caramel, periodically sprinkling it with flour, until it hardens and acquires a matte color.
- When the caramel becomes solid, give it the shape of a flat bundle and cut it into small pieces.
- Sprinkle sweets with flour and leave for 3-4 hours until completely solidified.
