Moles have eyes?

At the individuals of the European mole, the eyes can be seen if you carefully spread the wool on the beast muzzle. These organs are very small, devoid of lens and retina and therefore do not see anything. In some moles, especially in the Caucasian populations, the eyes are covered with skin, and during external examination it is impossible to detect them. But an X -ray study will show that even such moles under the skin have quite formed organs of vision. With an underground lifestyle, they lost their functions.
